Very few people can remember things from their childhood in extreme detail. Memories become intertwined and coloured with different feelings and nostalgia. The image of childhood is blurred and dreamy, and we believe we can flawlessly recollect things, even though we mostly remember a hazy outline. So, even if children are capable of memorizing things in detail, very few adults can recollect memories from when they were younger than three years old.

This phenomenon is known as childhood amnesia, and Lasse Tapio Junnila decided to build his debut album around this theme.

The first single from the album is the titular song Childhood Amnesia. It presents a fragment of the upcoming album's danceable side: IDM-flavored dance music with occasional sidesteps into the worlds of techno and house music.

The single is out now with the full album coming early next year.

Writing and performing electronic music under his own name, Lasse Tapio Junnila started writing his own songs in 2018 after getting a hold of his first own sampler. In the autumn of the same year, Junnila began playing live, utiziling a hardware live setup from the very beginning while also putting the dancefloor first. He eagerly plays at venues with a proper PA and an enthusiastic party crowd.

It's the titular track from Junnila's upcoming debut & concept album, presenting some if its danceable side. More info coming on release day. In the meantime, head over to Bandcamp and check out Granular Well Being, a fresh ambient track that Junnila decided to release to celebrate our collaboration.
